Certificates of Compliance and Design/Construction
Since 2 April 2012, with the new Building Act 2011 coming into effect, it is now possible to engage Registered Practitioner, Building Surveyor to provide certificates prior to lodgement of documents and plans to the local Council for a Building Permit.
In most cases this will ensure a shorter turnaround time in gaining a Building Permit given that under the Act, the Council must issue a
Permit within 10 working days or have responded to the applicant with a request for additional information.
Certificate of Design Compliance
This certificate will be provided to the client for a new building or additions to an existing building.

Certificate of Construction Compliance
This certificate will be will be provided to the client for any works undertaken with a Building Permit issued the commencement of the Building Act 2011. More commonly issued for Class 2 -9 buildings, commercial, multi-residential, and public buildings for a Certificate of Occupancy to be issued by the local Council.
